Point Nemo, Cumbria

.. grind your gears or make you wince?

For me, it's when someone calls me 'hun' - I'm not even German FFS!

Any over familiar use of endearment from a complete stranger.

A friend can call me almost anything but it grates when someone I don't know does it.

HereAndThere

The first time we met and fucked the future Mrs sofa said to me,

“Good job little buddy,”

just after she orgasmed, I was not sure how to take it, along with a higher five, but am ok with it now, two years on I’ve got fond off it , a bit like her,

Completely agree with that one..if someone calls me that its an automatic block.

I detest the word.

South Wales

I don’t like “dear” as i find that patronising and ageing.

All the rest i quite like. It’s like a hug with words, especially if you’ve had a shit day.

"Only the ones said with complete insincerity "

That's the key - not what's said, but how it's said.
