It was good to see GHs and whippets on there.

If you want a loony sighthound, try a saluki - same temperament as a GH but with a screw loose (we've got both)

Somebody else said boxers too. Such lovely dogs!! Also with a screw loose - or last one was 11 when he went and was still acting like a puppy.

"All Labrador, all day long.

Ours is a particularly dim example of the breed but he's a sweetheartaahrr...... Can we have an example of his dimness please. !"

Most of his dimness appears to stem from his upbringing. He's a rescue but not from "the system" he was never in a pound (wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes) his previous owners had him from a pup and he was raised by 3 cats. From his behavioural cues it's clear he was weaned too early and as a result of these combined factors he is absolutely convinced he is a cat. He will sit on you curled up like a cat (or try to) he has the defiance of a cat (he's good natured but seriously stubborn), he purrs like a cat at times. He's absolutely convinced that every dog is his next best friend and has been seen returning to the same dog that chased him into a river trying to eat his face to try and make friends. He has no special awareness of any kind and will bash himself constantly. He has pretty much no finding ability, despite the word retriever in his breed title I've seen him fail to locate a dog treat that was thrown for him that is less than 6" from his face...

Oh and he can't deal with people hugging, kissing or God forbid he can hear people having sex in the next room. He will cry like a baby and try to get in between you so that only he can have your attention. Particularly where the male of the house is concerned with whom he appears to be particularly obsessed
