How far would you travel

suffolk

We are a couple looking to meet females only so we know that potential meets are hard to find.

We have been very lucky and met some lovely people but it seems like we have got to widen our search to meet new people.

We are very happy to travel/meet half way or accomodate.

My question is how far do we widen our search ? I'm thinking that females probably prefer to meet at theirs so we would be the ones travelling....

If you like the sound of someone and feel its worth it you travel as far as you have to.

Get a road atlas and see how long it takes you to get to various places using Google Maps. When you think it would take to long to travel somewhere, that's where you stop your search.

It depends for me, if its someone i know will turn up i'll travel any distance, i go to manchester, sussex and sheffield semi regular to meet people i know, once i have met them and i know they are genuine and i like them distance isnt an issue

However for first time meets im not keen to go to far, im not willing to sit on a train for 4 hours to go meet someone i dont even know will turn up or if they did theres no saying we will like each other in the flesh

Given that Suffolk is 3hrs and 2 mins from Gloucester and I will only travel no more than an hour, that eliminates us from meeting because I don't agree that one side has to do all the travelling. In other words, if I cannot travel to you, I don't expect you to come to me, makes for an expensive cup of coffee as I meet socially first.

If you ever travel this way and want to stop off for a social meet, by all means, send me a message and we could meet for a chat if I am able but I cannot accommodate so not much more would happen if there is an attraction. So sorry to put a downer on your thought but for those of us with kids (old enough to do their own thing), accommodating is not an option

Your choice however if you want to widen your search, how far is up to you

Newcastle and Gateshead

as i have said before... distance is all relative, because we live on a small island... so "distances" can be greatly exagorated....

anyway.. in the advent of cheap airlines... if it costs me the same on a flight, than it does to take a train for example... then i don't see what the issue is...

Perhaps another question could be how much time or expense would you be willing to spend travelling to a meet, rather than what distance would you go....

some people think that 100 miles is along way, but i often travel thousands for work, so a couple of hundred for a meet is no problem, and we have done it before.

Thanks for the responses

We don't have an issue with travelling or the expense of it. We would happily travel up to 2 hours ish ...

Its just when browsing profiles its really time consuming to search specific areas separately as the counties split is not very accurate.

I guess just search ANY area and filter the rest of the search choices

Good job I like browsing

I have personally travelled for upto 2hrs for a meet in the past, jut have to make sure that the person or people that you are meeting are 100% genuine as so many, too many time wasters.
