Somewhere In The Ether…

There’s been so many memorable horror characters in movies over the years.

But who (or perhaps what) has scared or else unsettled you the most?

Off you go - and don’t have nightmares

I like a good slasher film. I don't like the ones that fuck with your head though, when it turns out the person who was trusted the most turns out to be the evil one.

The shining for example when Jack Nicholson loses it

Never found horror films scary, even as a kid but, and I can’t explain it, I found The Blair Witch Project absolutely terrifying. It must of got to some primeval part of my psyche

One that deserves a mention would be the Girl in the Asian Horror film ‘Audition’ what she gets up to ....

Agreed with Pennywise, although neither film portrays him quite as pant shittingly scary as the book does

Mick Taylor in Wolf Creek is scary as well.

"Javier Bardem in No country for old men WAS scary!"

He was indeed - an icy cold killer.

On similar lines, Joe Pesci in Goodfellas was also incredibly unsettling to put it mildly.

"The scary guy with two big front teeth from salems lot

"

That was Kurt Barlow as played by the late, Reggie Nalder

Interesting bit of behind the scenes relating to him; He was interviewed once and relayed how uncomfortable the make up was.

Apparently the contact lenses could only be worn for fifteen mins at a time and his elongated nails kept falling off which required constant cuts and retakes.
