The bar / buffet on Stalybridge station is great.

They serve real ale and have regular live bands in the evening.

A nice stop-off if you get thirsty on a Liverpool to North-East trip.

Nice beers on a sunny summers evening or a toasted teacake and a hot vimto on a cold Sunday afternoon.

It's good for either !

I hear that Weatherspoons at Leeds City Station does a nice full English breakfast and a couple of pints from 08.00am. Not that I've tried it of course.

Do you mean the rail ale pub crawl, we did it last year ,going from Dewsbury through to Marsden calling at meltham slaithwaite, huddersfield and somewhere else ,you can get a pint of real ale beside each station, and can hop on and off the local trains as you like . It was a great day out ,but it gets very busy on summer weekends

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack!

There`s a lot of good pubs at preseved railway stations too. One at Bridgenorth on the Severn Valley Railway and there`s a good one the East Lancs Railway at Bolton Bury Street which always has several good real ales on pump.
