I prefer the Portuguese ones with the flaky pastry but English ones are good too.

Yes! Pastel de nata is the king of pastries in my eyes. "

Was in Jersy recently and they've got a big Portuguese community apparently. So there were fantastic custards in all the cake shops, deeper than the traditional ones.

If you don’t fancy travelling to Jersey or Portugal for one (although flights to Porto are cheap!) - Lidl do some top notch ones.
