What are your thoughts on the fear to love again?

I reckon that after a string of heartbreaks, it can develop and also make the person have lack of trust in any potential partner out of fear it would happen again.

It happens. The closer someone gets to you, the more capability they have to hurt you. The fear is a defence mechanism, but also the thing that will cause you the most hurt through lonliness in the long term.

Indeed it does. Even if the person was to actually enter another relationship after a long while, the fear of it happening again could become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Which does sound pretty damaging for a person as in the long term, the fear could cause self-isolation, depression or worse if not dealt with in time.

Yep it happens.

It's scary.

It's really fucking scary.

But.... the hurt can be temporary, whereas the love can be forever.

When you fall you fall.

You can deny the both of you the opportunity to have happiness if you run, or you can take a chance, and give yourselves a chance.

In relationships, I never stopped falling in love with someone but as a single man of over 2 years, it is easy to have that kind of barrier to stop myself from falling in love with someone.
