Only 10 miles isn't that a bit too local?

Newcastle upon Tyne

Usually stick to 50 miles/1 hours driving time for a meet. Furthest we have gone purely for a meet was 250 miles to meet some friends and yes it was totally worth it.

Surely it’s a bit of a trade off, hope to have local meets, but if a 10 out of 10 came up out of area then I’d travel, much much further!

I've always said you get out what you put in ...

All my meets have been between 75 and 150 miles

I'm driving London wales tomorrow just for a social .

Distance shouldn't be an issue .

Let's be honest if you stick to 25 miles your not goung to get many meets if any .

I've even driven 125 miles picked a lady up and driven her back to mine

Then dropped her home next day

If your worried about distance stick with your local club

Totally agree with you but would rather stop in the area I had travelled to maybe get a hotel to ad to the options if the social went well

Furthest I've travelled was a 240 mile round trip to see my old fwb.

If I met someone first at a mutual location and I wanted to see them again at their location I dont have a issue with traveling far. For example I am going on 130 mile round trip next month and if all goes well I'm willing to do the 300 mile round trip to his area next time.

And I currently do a 90 mile round trip to see a close friend /fb most weeks

Haywood Village, Weston-super-Mare

I probably wouldn't leave the Bristol area, if I'm honest. Haven't needed to so far.

I would happily travel a significant distance in theory but I'd much prefer more than a one off which makes longer distances less practical

We flew to the states to meet up with a friend over there, we had met her before though so wasn’t much of a risk.

Since I stopped driving I'll probably not travel any distance really, mainly because public transport is a pain getting home late at night...people have to come to me now ..I will walk to the local pub though lol

Caught the train from Glasgow down to London for a meet once. We had a great time and she’s one of my longest standing friends in here

Thats far, don't think I would travel that far, as long as I can drive there I know I can get back but worrying about flights too as well as airport stress too

I would never travel far for an initial social meet. Walking distance only. Once I know someone that's a different matter

Think most of mine have been between 30 minutes to an hour away. Close enough but not too close that we're going to bump in to each other out and about

I don't tend to travel, but did have a guy travel 200 miles to meet me, now I class him as one of my best friends, so I hope he feels it was worth it

West Wales

When we lived on Essex we visited the London, Manchester & Burnley socials as part of weekends away.

For one on one first meets though probably wouldn't travel more than 50 miles. People we've met & gelled with though we'd go a lot further for.

Off to Luton later in the week, 2 hours is about my maximum, luckily, from Birmingham, that's most of England and Wales accounted for.

A 4 hour round trip turned into the best meet ever. Sadly she’s no longer on here.

Realistically for an initial / social meet? 2 hours radius as I like to drive with a good podcast going.

"I flew to Guernsey ! "

Now I would go to the Isle of white but maybe not Guernsey, that sounds like it was an expensive trip to me if you had to fly there too x
