What If...

Are these 2 words effecting your life? Do they stop ypu doing things you would like to do? Do you always think 'What If' something bad happens.

I don't think it? I am very spontaneous and do things withour thinking if it's dangerous or life threatening. I think life is to short for 'What Ifs'.

Please share what the 'What Ifs' are stopping you from doing. Or if you have kids who want to do something but your 'What Ifs' are fording you to not allow it.

Hiding in the shadows

I think 'What if' quite regularly.

But never in a negative manner.

What if, I can't do it?

No... What if I'm actually a natural.

What if, it all goes wrong? No... What if it turns out to the most incredible adventure.

I'm an eternal optimist

Me too! Hence me future plans... lots of people think I'm crazy but I just see the positives. I asked a Romanian today if I'd be ok to travel around Russia. He said you may get shot or stabbed, I just thought I could in this Country so I'm still going.

Yes. I’m a “what if” person. Wish I wasn’t

What's it stopping you doing. I know what it's like. My ex was a what if person to the extreme. Missed out on lots of things because of it. Shame but understandable as she was bi polar too. That's why I'm going now I'm single. Do everything I want to do before I die, and if I die doing them at least I died happy!

No...and they never have ..

You are only limited by your own fears and inaction..

In other words don't think about it, just do it

Not particularly true for me - I like a quick review of potential scenarios, if contemplating something different but largely make a quick assessment that I'm going to do something, because it looks great. Or bin the concept, if the risks, costs etc are too high but find something else to enjoy and plan for, instead.

I sometimes think what if I had never chatted up a previous girlfriend, then I wouldn't be £80k lighter than I am now.....

Do you work for Nike?

Spot on though! Just do it! The more the think about it the less likely you will do it. What if the parachute don't open? So... it won't bother you for long if it doesn't. What a way to go though, what a rush! Done it on GTA V few times does actually look like a good way to go. Bit morbid I know but if you're going to go... go in style. I'm not dying in a bed! No chance.

That's different. Can't change the past! I don't think about the past, I wake up and it's a new day. Yesterday was yesterday not today. Although today will be yesterday tomorrow...

Yeah... it's all positive what I wrote. I'm not afraid of death. I've done so much in my life it's unbelievable! So many near death experiances... it's time I go a do the things I've been putting off. 99% of which are very dangerous and could result in death. That's the biggest 'what if' of them all. What if I die? That can't hold you back either can it?

Unless the "what if" is that I might die then I just go for it.

Everything else is fixable.

You can die doing lot's of thing you do but you still do them. You could die crossing the road. Has any of the 'What Ifers' seen A million ways to die in the West? If not... don't.

The fear of death stops people doing a lot of things they may enjoy. The way I see it is if you're dead then it's not going to bother you much. Sorry this thread has become a little dark.
