Who are your favourites? Ones that make your sides split with laughter and cause a stitch and some face aching?

Bianca Del Rio. Hers was the last time I cried laughing at a show. In fact I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much and that is saying something.

Beyond the shadows.

Oh theres so many too choose from its unfair to pick one .

If we are talking uk stand-ups then of the current bunch I'd say Paul Chowdhry or Imran Yusuf. If we are going back a bit id say Jasper Carrott.

Of the current American stand-ups Id say Dave Chappelle. Of course Richard Pryor one of the best of all time both as a stand up and a comic actor.

Got to mention Ronnie Barker, the man was an amazing comic actor.

Billy Connolly can always make me laugh.

Managed to see Ken Dodd a few years back (given a ticket) & thoroughly enjoyed the show, despite him going on for hours.

James Acaster is also good.

Probably John Bishop, mainly because I really like what I see of him outside his comedy as well as being hilarious live. Being from the North West is probably also a factor as we share some sense of humour characteristics. An honourary scouser even if he is a wool

He's not really known for his stand-up, but I once saw a Steve Merchant stand-up gig. It was hands down the funniest gig I've ever been to, and I've been to see quite a few comedians over the years. Steve Coogan was another brilliant one too.
