What happened to just releasing a game in one piece?

Coming in episodes and it is a whole new gameplay mechanic. More a re-imagining than a remake.

Best way to play ff7 at this point is get it on pc, and mod it.

Character models, effects, and UI are all updated. The backgrounds let it down currently.

Recently an AI has been created that can upscale the background images to much higher resolution and quality. In a few months you will be able to play ff7 with greatly improved graphics. Not next gen, but a vast improvement.
