Things that don't translate well

Very often the odd forum thread doesn't translate very well for me.

Dry sense of humour, is often taken as being offensive, or humour itself is lost.

What else do you think is translated/conveyed badly to threads and interpreted badly?

Emotions, lust, venom??

Humour. Judging by amount of threads that suddenly become "just a joke"

In real life we have tone, so you can tell if someone is being humorous or serious. The emojis help indicate levity, but often certain points are lost because the written word can be hard to decipher the writers true meaning or thoughts on a subject.

The problem is that a lot of people on this site lack a sense of humour, and quite a few seem to get off on being 'offended'!
