“True love words”

Jump to newest

By (user no longer on site) OP

There’s lots of love quotes that shoot straight to your heart. Something that echos the way you feel true love can be put into words.

Could be from a song, Shakespeare May have got it right once or twice, or even a meme.

What’s yours?

Thank you.

I also like ‘people see imperfections, I see the good stuff’.

It’s not always fireworks and a rush of adrenaline that defines the best about a loving relationship, but it’s mostly the things other people don’t take notice of. You know?

The blockheads - One of my favourite songs as a kid. I Sang it often at family get togethers. As my mum had the single. The B side (younger readers won’t ever know what that means) was a song called ‘ain’t half been some clever bastards!) I used to sing that as well.

How can you just walk away from me

When all I can do is watch you leave?

'Cause we've shared the laughter and the pain

And even shared the tears

You're the only one who really knew me at all

I like it.

As a couple I think it’s easier to be open about love and what it can mean. I reckon the single profiles in here maybe are afraid to show how vulnerable we all are by sharing something a little ‘fluffy’ as a loving quote.

Is love ever "fluffy"?

Or does it just give without expecting anything back?

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres"

Someone wrote that 2000+ years ago.

It may not say fluffy, or tingly or life changing,... perhaps it should.

I do like the rare happy threads.

Go, be fluffy. It makes the world go round.
