Has anyone watched this documentary series on the RnB singer/songwriter?

No. I don’t think my mental health will cope watching it at the moment. Maybe when I’m in a better frame of mind.

I’ve been reading dribs and drabs about him for years and it’s awful. Absolutely fucking awful. My heart breaks for all those girls.

Tbh it took me a while to watch the whole series - it is a difficult watch

I too feel for the families affected by him

Absolutely abhorrent!

No, but I did have to sit through R Kelly's "Trapped in the Closet" words xa not describe how I felt about that!

Seen in far off places

As my mother always taught me ...don't trust anybody who believe they can fly.

Wise words.

"Had a cult didn’t he in the 90s"

Yep well according to documentary, his albums, song titles etc he’s very much shown the characteristics of a sexual predator since the 90s right the way to the present day with an ongoing sex cult enslaving underage women

How he got away with it all despite various evidence is beyond belief!

Vile human being in my opinion!

He's like an American Jimmy Savile. People have known for years he's a dodgy character, hopefully he doesn't die before his comeuppance but perhaps slowly in jail

Celebrity is the new Royalty, be it an actor, singer or Kardashian. Trump claimed he could shoot someone on 5th Avenue and his base would still follow him, and for a change he’s telling the truth.

R Kelly, is protected by his ‘people’ and his fans. Imagine any Police department deciding to arrest a high profile person, the media attention alone would cripple their resources and put them under extreme pressure to be in the right to arrest him.

No matter what Michael Jackson did or was accused of, his supporters don’t care, I also don’t think R Kelly’s supporters would care either.

Lawyers and the American flawed legal system will always keep a rich celebrities out of jail, until the evidence or public pressure prevail.

Newcastle and Gateshead

been charged in illinois on 10 charges of "aggrivated sexual abuse".......

2 things......

1) girls are apparently between 13 and 16......

2) in illinois it is a class 3 felony which means he be likely going to jail... and if convicted illinois is one of states where the sentences can be done consecutively.... which mean he could be going to jail for a long.....long time!

I hope he goes to prison for a long, long time.

Not watched it. Don't think I'd be able to. I've read a few BBC articles and that's enough for me.

Just come up on my breaking news that he has been arrested though
