Try ‘Meetup’ just google it, I get an email weekly with groups in my area that have started with interests I share. So it can be anything from film discussion, yoga, walking or surviving divorce groups. Also if you run / cycle for exercise check out Clubs in your area.

After the initial fear of meeting a bunch of strangers, you’d be surprised how quickly you’ll find new friends.
