Just seen Ocean Ramsey swimming with the largest Great White we know of. Deep Blue.

Huge shark, I wouldn't go in a cage to see it, never mind swimming freely with it

Would you ?

I saw that news article yesterday and I think I would swim in those circumstances as it’s going to want to eat the whale carcass rather than me but I bet my heart would be going like mad

Somewhere In The Ether…

She has her own Twitter account

Actually, the beautiful creature was on the news just the other day when she entered Hawaiian waters. Divers (brave one’s at that!) were actually swimming alongside her and touching her.

A truly majestic animal (Treat her with respect guys!)

Also, congratulations to her as she’s apparently expecting......Little Blue maybe?

Would I get in the water with her though......hell no!!!!!

It's an incredible clip, I'm so jealous that she got to do that. The Great White is a massively misunderstood animal, wth many thinking that it some sort of robotic like, frenzied man-eater, searching out its human victims like an assassin.

I used to think there is nothing I'd like more than to cagedive with a Great White shark. I find them massively intimidating creatures and am in awe.

It's people that have changed my mind. It may be a trip of a lifetime for me to fly to South Africa, Australia or the Gulf of Mexico. These sharks are visited and fed on an almost daily basis though, given the amount of people who have it on their bucket list.

Sharks have it bad enough at the moment, slaughtered by the hundreds of 1000s each year, definned for soup. Over fished and environment polluted.

I may want to see the sharks, but I think they've had enough of seeing people like me, so it's no longer on my bucket list

Any animal tourism is a bit shit isnt it. Pictures with dolphins, riding elephants. I couldn't do any of it now

There are no good shark films. Only Jaws Author spent the rest of his life campaigning to protect sharks because of the reaction to the film.

Sharks are a subject I try to pretend doesn't exist.

As a surfer all my life, the feeling when an old plastic bag or similar under the water brushes past your foot or your legs as you're sitting out on your board waiting for a wave gives me the heebies...especially when you're surfing somewhere remote, it's getting dusk and you're alone in the water!!!

Absolutely magnificent creatures, and I wish them no harm, but I wish they'd bugger off to warmer waters...

Not really in any great threat here in the UK though are you?

Given our only potentially dangerous sharks, Blues and Mako's are open ocean predators.

An interesting fact from my son after seeing this on the news.

More Americans are injured by buckets than they are by sharks.

Yeah I'd imagine sharks on the whole having much easier prey than humans.

Buckets can be pesky so I agree with your son!
