"You tube has banned videos following a spate of injuries and deaths as people do ridiculous challenges and dares. Such as eating washing powder, driving blindfolded to replicate the film bird box. Sadly innocent people are hurt also. Take those out of the equation then you have idiots doing idiotic stuff,is this a classic example of natural selection in action? You know the one's who tease wild animals and then wonder when they get bitten. I really despair at the stupidity of people these days in a bid to get more hits on their channel or page. Another example these selfish idiots who climb tall buildings and hang one handed !" yes natural selection im happy for them to do there stuff Just dont put innocent people at risk because your brain dead

"I blame Johhny Knoxville. When was that kind of thing ever funny?" If you watch a lot of behind the scenes Jackass stuff, they're all professional skateboarders and know how to take a beating. Many of there high risk stunts are carefully planned out by stunt teams. Nearly all of the medium and low level risk ones aren't. Personally I love Jackass. The people on YouTube, not so much. They're often amateurs desperate for hits and popularity and it does scare the shot out of me to the point I've had this chat with my kids. Both lads love scooters, skateboards, bikes etc. Fascinated by all the tricks, jumping off silly heights into water with me on holiday. It's all a calculated risk. Its built up to with practice and experience. Gymnastics being the key to all of it. So start small and work up to the bigger tricks, just know when there is a risk that you may brake a bone, organ or soul. Weigh up the real risk. Hanging from a building with one arm and playing chicken with freight trains.. you're just asking to have your life cut short.

"What about extreme athletes then? (I do not support those idiots btw) What are they?? Athletes who take sport to the extreme more often than not risking their life." Once again selfish assholes. As usually someone else has to then risk their lives to rescue them when it goes pearshaped.

It's part of a result of social media and the search for more likes and views. I think Billy Connolly said it best when referring to suicide bombers "At least that;s another arsehole we don't have to worry about."

"There is the point that without pushing boundaries there would never be progress ... Wright brothers for example But then there's pioneering and abject stupidity" Well exactly. For example studying wild lions in their natural habitat dangerous but if precautions are taken fair enough. Putting your head in a lion's mouth at a circus and being surprised as it bite's your head off. Stupid

Btw, everyone is selfish.
