Watched all kinds of things, loved Laurel & Hardy (still do) Charlie Chaplain, Harol Lloyd and Steptoe and Son for classic & vintage comedy.

Watched Trumpton, Chigley, Camberwick Green (worked with Brian Cant later in my career)

Banana Splits was fun, so was Spiderman cartoons, 1960's Batman with Adam West and Burt Ward.

There were loads, but the best aimed at kids was:

TISWAS.

No other show ever came close, and I never grew out of it, I first saw it at 12 in 1617 (1974, really) and was still watching it when it ended around 10 years later.

I remember my niece loving it too at about 2 years old, going round singing, "Lets sing the song, THE BUCKET OF WATER SONG!"

I'm not sure if I got rid of it in my ruthless thinning down of belongings ready for my big move but I had the whole series on dvd (recorded from the telly - not a bought one) but if it is somewhere in the mountains of boxes already at MrShields, then I'm willing to pass it around.

No-one has mentioned Tingha and Tucka, the two koala bears.

It was so bad, it was kinda good in its own way.

But for me, the best programme to rush home to after school was Blue Peter.

The only current kids TV programme I'll look at these days is Shaun the Sheep; it cracks me up every time and I'm helpless with laughter!
