I'm going to be THAT guy and say no song is inappropriate for a funeral, the songs chosen should reflect the person's life and what they would have wanted.

Although there are some who h are through provoking

Hello, this is the fun police and I'm here to shut this shit down.

There and to the left a bit

For a cremation:

Smoke Gets In Your Eyes - The Platters

Fire - The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown

Light My Fire - The Doors

Re-Light My Fire - Take That

Who's A Match? - Biffy Clyro

Have mentioned this before but on a related note, I was at White Hart Lane years ago where they played a song at half time which they announced was in memory of a guy killed in a motorbike accident whose family were all at the game that day - cue collective gasp around the ground when the song started and was "Road To Hell" by Chris Rea. They had to put a note in the next programme explaining that it was his favourite song and the family had specifically asked for it as they'd had so many complaints!!
