Been compiling our family tree for the past 10 years or so. So far over 11,000 ancestors and blood relatives

in my tree going back to around 1500.

No but one of my aunt's is really into genealogy. She did a family tree going back 4 Generations and gave a copy to everyone for Christmas. It was some feat as she is 1 of 12!

It's more like a book, it was very interesting though.

I have 400 years on one side and 4 generations on the other side ... virtually impossible pre 400 years for anyone due to lack of records though

Hard getting to grips discovering my celtic roots. But I'm a natural detective. Interesting seeing my DNA results

I really don’t have a clue as to what my results will be. I have to wait 6 to 8 weeks to find out

I'm only 3 ethnic origins which I thought was rather dull, I fancied abit more spice in my genes

My blood group is B- so that can suggest I might have Basque ancestors who if from the Spanish side of the Pyrenees might have been part of the Spanish Armada and settled in Ireland or came over from the French side during the many wars that France has had.

Seeing how I have Irish and Scottish lineage then it would make sense.

Interesting, I wasn't aware of that link

77% of my DNA is Scottish and irish, they even narrowed it down regionally to Kerry. 10% Norway so those vikings got hold of us at some point!

I really want one of these. My partner has just done his and sent it off and we are excited to see the results as one of his parents were adopted at birth.
