I was thinking this morning of all those comedy shows from 60’s and 70’s you couldn’t show on tv nowadays..

What’s your fondest memory of comedy shows way back when?

“Here they are, they’re so appealing,

Come on Dollies, do your dealing!”

Not really comedy as such, but would the “Dolly Dealers” from Play Your Cards Right be allowed today?

The ‘Confessions’ films....

Utterly crass, sexist and vulgar.

Yet, Robin Askwith and Sherry Blair’s dad we’re awesome in them

Ah you can’t beat a bit of bawdy British 70s humour.

“Bawdy”. That’s a great word isn’t it? Sadly underused these days!

Slight aside, I once discovered my bike stolen from outside a pub in St John's Wood. Asked a passing stranger for the nearest police station who turned out to be Don Warrington (Philip).

Then, not many years later, I was an extra in a short film with him.

I'm a bit embarrassed by this now, but as a kid I loved Mind Your Language...

It is a fantastic word that is sadly underused today; I say that we should start a campaign to bring it back

Hefty Hideaway

When I was younger one of the cable channels used to show an episode of The Monkees every night. It didn’t take long before I knew most episodes by heart. It has dated but I can happily while away the hours with the box set and my dogs. Proper feel good happy watching.
