"But Are they cakes or biscuits "
possibly originally called cakes so they didnt incur vat. They taste much nicer than urinal cakes

( WEST OF ) Chippenham ish

You can dip them in anything, but my pref is cold milk. They're called cakes as they go hard when aged, biscuits and cookies generally go soft with age.

"But Are they cakes or biscuits possibly originally called cakes so they didnt incur vat. They taste much nicer than urinal cakes"

Easy to answer:

Biscuits go soft when stale

Cakes go hard when stale

& guess what, jaffa cakes go hard when stale

And of course. Don't forget the VAT thing about cake v biscuit. As for eating more than one, it is compulsory to finish the whole packet 'cos the packs they come in are no longer airtight once you've opened them. Well that's my excuse.

That's how I eat them when I'm alone.

In polite company, they are normally gone in about two bites.
