Are you good at planning ahead?

At fat club they often say the key to success is to plan your meals for the week but I can't think now what I want to eat on Thursday!

I know planning ahead makes sense and will save money in the long run so how tk I get my head into it?

Hefty Hideaway

Planning ahead has to be exciting.

Choose to pre prepare meals that will still hold your attention in a few days time. Trawl through recipes. Find something you’d love to try but probably would never make... and make it. Variety is the key. Good luck x

Yes, I have all my meals planned every week. My sons need to know what they’re eating and they don’t like change so we tend to stick to the same meals on certain days. Sunday we always plan what’s for tea every night x

Mine are pretty much planned as in it is usually the same thing for the same day of the week. Maybe horribly boring and predictable but makes the shopping easier and easy meals get put on busier days and kids never have to ask whats for tea. I sometimes go wild and have something different when the monotony gets too much

I'm rubbish at planning ahead for anything let alone what I'm going to eat next Thursday.I can see the sense in it but I'm not that kind of person.

.

Get some really cute tupperware boxes. If you use Instagram/blogs look at various meal prep ones. Try and make meals visually colourful and varied in texture, taste etc. You have to stick at something for it to change how you do things normally.

And just think about how great you'll feel when you are where you want to be.

(This is what I'm doing. There's a wheel of brie in the fridge that's siren calling me but I'm resisting. Just about).

I hate food shopping so i try to do meal planning for the week, usually on a Monday and only until Thursday, then i do Friday to Sunday..

It also helps for my son, who has ASD and likes to know in advance what he will be getting

I tend to plan my meals for the week but not what to have on specific days. So basically I buy a weeks worth of food and pick from those options each day.
