It seems to be the case. On the BBC news this morning they were saying that they have responded to several incidents of people getting hurt trying to do various different things blindfolded.

We responded to one in work last week...was one of those try to keep a straight face whilst dealing with it moments...And then wanting to smack them up the side of the head for wasting our time.
