Depends on who is in the house or can hear. At home if daughter is in then it is as quiet as possible, hotel, club or private meet then as loud as feel the need to be.

Lived in a house with separate flats on each floor. The couple in the top flat (who weren't married, well not to each other) were very vocal at all hours, mostly during the day. This echoed in the back yard of these terraced properties. The renter's name was Campbell. It became considerably quieter after someone loudly shouted back, "The Campbell's are coming".
