There always clean

Beds really comfy

You only sleep and shower pretty .

They do business level rooms in some

Super rooms in others .

Rooms pretty soundproofed

Tea n coffee in room

What's so different to the hotels yoy use then ? Just the name ?

40.000 bedrooms I think

40,000 multiplied by £30

Probably over a million quid a night if they were all booked

Trust me there's nothing wrong with a travelodge for fun or a good night's sleep .

40% off in Jan ....some rooms are £17 with the discount .

Self confessed hotel snob here

I would stay in a Travelodge if I had to, but I'd make sure I exhausted pretty much every other option first

I like nice things

I like staying in nice places

I'm not rich

A hotel stay is a treat

So I like it to be the best I can afford, not the cheapest available

The beds are nice .better than most so called better hotels .

Bathrooms are nice too ..you only shower and shave in it not sleep

If I book a hotel, I spend a lot of time in it

It is an experience for me, not just somewhere to lay my head

I go to places just to stay in certain hotels - even if I have no other reason to be there

It's one of my things

Travelodge offer sparse rooms. They are functional, but I want more than functional in a hotel room

I use the spa, enjoy meals, use the bar lounges, enjoy oversized baths with a drink and some music (I don't have a bath at home)

So, whilst I get what you are saying, to me, it's not 'just a room'

Anyway the point of the thread is 40% off at the moment

Makes some rooms 17 quid

Sobif you do need one for fun or business it's a good deal for a good night's sleep or fun ..

I didn’t think you could check in to them till 2 ?

There used to be an early check in option(payable) subject to availability.

You can check in early at 12 for an extra tenner or same for late check out.

Travelodge are fine, some are better than others (ie the Carlisle one and the Dundee one are great, from memory).

You generally get an clean comfortable hotel for a reasonable price.

Perfectly put...I agree totally. I don't stay anywhere cheap and basic, I want to enjoy the facilities on offer.

Booking a £17 room for a future as-yet-unplanned meet is pretty crass in my opinion

Nothing wrong travel lodges and premier inns! I prefer to go for premier inns, they’re always clean. I’ve stayed in some expensive hotels in London that that have been bloody awful.

Horses for course as always.

I prefer to use Day Use for my daytime meets as I'm a daytime meet kind of gal.To be fair tho, if I'm on a meet with a guy they're too busy with me to be spending much time enjoying the facilities lol.

I tend to use Travelodge when travelling with my kid. We've been the length and breadth of the country using Travelodge and similar. Less money spent on a decent room means more money to do fun stuff.
