" Sadly there is no way to spot train fat. If youre training that hard though especialy if youve target those areas you may have made things look "worse" by building a heavier layer of muscle under the fat which pushes it out more. If youve lost 3 stone already youre doing incredible keep it up amd once the other area's are depleted your body will remove it from your target areas. Otherwise yes lipo will work but youll have to cut down your diet afterwards to account for the new lower BMR or it will come bsck | |||

Lile to get a "flatter" stomach is a fairly long term goal but a newbie can grow thier chest our fairly fast which cheatingly makes thier stomach seem flatter. But theres a big differnce in training lazily for aesthetics and training for fitness. | |||

My goal is better fitness & keeping my diabetes levels down to 'pre-diabetes' stage which they are now I am of the mindset that I can't turn round 47 years of no training and 'living life' in a few months, which some seem to think they can I'll never have a good body, but I can have a better body, albeit as a by product of better health | |||

Track your calories. Try and get more exercise. Don’t over complicate it or restrict yourself too quickly! Good luck " I'd second the small changes your body brain and hormones needs time to adapt go quick fix the chances are you will fail Approach it as a healthy lifestyle change and not for weight loss specifically, learn to cook most of your food from the basic ingredients, enjoy cooking , batch cook Learn about health and exercise principles and concepts NOT specific training plans , you are unique and you need to understand you and how you adapt not a generic plan Drink till you pee a lot x | |||

"I think it is more an individual thing. I find if I say I am on a diet I never stick to it so I just changed what I was eating and stopped grazing in between meals. If I fancied something to eat after 6 I had it, I also did no exercise at all and altogether lost five stone. One size doesn't fit all " I agree with this. | |||

"I have had 19 PT sessions last one the 20th tomorrow. I hired him because I had been running for 18 months, I used the couch to 5k app and hit a plateau. I went down 1 dress size from 16 to 14 and couldn't understand why I was going no further and it was getting me down. My PT has told me that cardio helps weight loss up to a point then your body gets used to that excercise and it becomes no better than just eating less. So i have focused on weights and strength training along with a balanced diet, with treats and alcohol. More protein though because I wanted to build muscle. I am now a size 10 in dresses and 12 in jeans....all in 3 months. I've started running again and I'm faster because I'm stronger. I'm not lighter I've only lost a kg but my shape has changed and I look firmer and smaller. I'm now doing the London marathon this year. I couldn't even run for a bus 2 years ago.
