Drove past a school age chap in Dec, it was freezing cold and pissing down......he had a blazer on and that was it, no coat. He must have been chilled and soaked to the bone, but didn't seem to care.

My kids wear their coats as mum says... wrap up.. you don't want to catch pneumonia..

Then I realise I almost sound like my mother. I'm just leaving out the rant about vests

If I'm going shopping I tend not to wear coats as I hate getting hot in the shops. Plus I like a challange when shop lifting

I saw a young women walking to school in a scrappy top and jeans on Monday. She must have been freezing.

My mum used to tell me off for not wearing warm clothes though so I guess what goes around comes around

Iceland, but Aldi is closer..

I never used to feel the cold as a kid but it seems as I have got a few years older I seem to feel the cold much more..

I'm now at the stage where I have to sit on a hot stone under a sun lamp for an hour or two to warm up before leaving the house..

My kids are 17 and 15 and I make them wear a coat! Helps if they have a nice fashionable coat and not a duffle coat!

But seriously have you seen the price of some of the clothes kids wear these days? Breaks the bank for a shopping trip

Are you trying to tell me that my 30 year old duffel coat, with it's variety of different buttons, dubious aroma and unidentifiable stains is no longer cool and trendy? I'm shocked and stunned

I was out last Saturday night and there was loads of younger females and makes with no coats and nearly every young one had nearly anything on them. I was cold just looking at them.

Oh Retro-cool? Not even with 2 of the original buttons replaced with AA batteries and one of my cats hitching a ride in the hood?

I took a coat out with me one time when I was younger as a bit of a laugh. Actually managed to get laid through offering it to a girl to keep her warm (turned in to a Fwb for a while).

One of them cost £120 too.

No one wore a coat to go clubbing in, ever.

We ran from the front door to the cab, and from the cab to the club doors.

We only took an umbrella if it was pouring down.

Never mind. Spring is on the way, the bulbs I planted only weeks ago are inches tall already and it's not even halfway through January.
