Yes, but then ask for a fresh one of whatever you buy. Like squirting deodorant/air freshener to test in a shop, then buying the full one behind it.

you can have 48 hour test drives now. And Alfa frequently let me take something for a test drive. Well anytime mines in for a service.. only one i had to have the guy come with me for was the 4c

We have made a point of doing every car we have hired or had extended test drives in, and even did a tent on a sport shop display while the store was open, didn't buy the tent though.

Sheds don't hold thay much sound in, even if they'rein a club garden and music is loud you might still be heard. Well that's what my mate Biffa reckons anyway.
