How does it work?

I'm permanently in stealth mode, so no one should see I've viewed their profile.

This morning I've viewed profiles, after reading forum posts.

I havn't commented on those threads, just scrolling through & curious about the person behind certain comments.

Yes, I'm nosey.

Out of 7 that I looked at, 6 viewed me almost immediately, 2 messaged me, thanking me for viewing and wanting to chat.

I ran a test, checked with 12 friends, viewed their profiles.

None can see I've looked, so why can random people I've had no previous interactions with see me?

PlayD8 said a wee while ago that she was sure that, even if you were in stealth mode, the other person got a notification you'd looked if they had you hotlisted. Pure the fear in everyone ha! Don't think anyone worked out definitively whether it happened or not.

That's the issue. I really don't want to interact with any of them.

I viewed them, as tbh, their comments made me raise my eyebrows.

6 out 7 return views & 2 messages is too much to be a coincidence.

I've now viewed everyone who's commented here, can you see me?

I have the same thing happen on an intermittent basis. Doesn't seem to have any particular pattern to it.

That is odd and can't see why that should be happening. If you're in ninja mode no one should see you've viewed their profile.

I have been told that on the black web you can purchase said software not cheap it's not reayfor things like this but can be altered a friend as said he uses one for buying tickets or sale items before you can see but the amount that looked instantly sounds more like a glitch

Yeah I found that I could view in stealth mode but as soon as I took it off I became visible to everybody I had then viewed different when it's woman you view you soon disappear into the masses not so easy when viewing men

Which is why I switched to stealth mode.

I view alot of profiles, from the forums, or local updates.

If I liked what I saw, then yes I would send a message.

Someone assuming I'm intrested just because I looked, when everything about their profile is the total opposite to my preferences, then getting shitty because I don't reply/delete is a pain in the arse.

My block list got a little longer today.

I read yesterday (still trying to find thread) that on latest smart phones can get round "who viewed me" even if if set to hidden.

Might be something to mention to admin if true. I don't have latest smartphone

I normally have a real good nosey then leave it a few days before I change it over again. I also noticed a bloke I have in my hotlist had viewed me several times and it came up in my hotlist updates he must have then gone to stealth mode as they suddenly disappeared

Good test though and clears things up for many fabbers. I did that a long time ago and realised how it works! As soon as you become visible they show, but when you go back to stealth mode they vanish. However by that time the ones that noticed start to make contact as the OP experienced.

Many people choose to have selective mode for various reasons, but that is another topic so won't go into details... but you will notice on the number of people looked at you increases/decreases. It happens to me often. For example say 50 looked at you. If particular profiles went back into stealth number goes down. When I go into that page I noticed profile is not visible. A few days later the profile reappears... so they are going in and out of ninja mode!

No previous interaction whatsoever, I don't comment on that thread.

Within 10 mins 6 have viewed me, 2 sent messages.

People have shown up as looked at me, then when I log in a short while later....no trace of them doing that.

A glitch me thinks.

I’ve seen people who I know to be in stealth mode appear in Hotlist updates as having viewed me only to disappear later

I'm permanently in stealth mode, so no one should see I've viewed their profile.

This morning I've viewed profiles, after reading forum posts.

I havn't commented on those threads, just scrolling through & curious about the person behind certain comments.

Yes, I'm nosey.

Out of 7 that I looked at, 6 viewed me almost immediately, 2 messaged me, thanking me for viewing and wanting to chat.

I ran a test, checked with 12 friends, viewed their profiles.

None can see I've looked, so why can random people I've had no previous interactions with see me?

I've had the same problem and thought I was losing my mind forgetting to switch off the 'shows on profile', I'm assuming that it must be a glitch in the system!! Anybody reported it?

Tbh, not sure if they were or not... Without scrolling through all today's views & checking

And no, I hadn't posted on any other thread.

It was the first one of the day I'd read.

All the profiles viewed were on the same thread & I didn't recognise them as regular posters

None local, nearest was 100miles
