"It it just me, or do others find calling women "sluts" distasteful. No woman deserves to be called a slut just because she is highly sexed and enjoys sex. I never reply to messages calling my wife a slut. She is very sexy sometimes very kinky but always a lady." Entirely agree ... we had a couple message is ... clearly the guy ... saying do you want to come and fuck and use my slut... erm ... no thanks

"Context really. If it's while fucking and something both parties enjoy, I don't find it tasteful. Going straight in with the slut thing isn't for me but one of my friends really enjoys it and finds it empowering (the whole reclamation thing) which is fair enough." Indeed .. another case of each to their own ... not judging... just not our thing

"It's not that simple. Some women hate the word, others embrace it as an emblem of sexual freedom. " You are probably right. It's just my opinion. They are all ladies if they want to be called sluts then it is THEIR choice

I think there's possibly a time and a place for the word, but in the context of calling her "my slut" during play or sex, not just "a slut". Big difference, IMHO.

I don't like being called a slag though.

"I like being "his" slut " Yes this but I wouldn’t let a stranger call me a slut .

"The word itself isn’t what’s important, as with many words. It’s the intent. Slut shaming is horrific and should be avoided at all times. Slut pride is a different matter; a woman who is proud of her sexuality and ability to attract many men should be a much more positive thing and should be held in greater regard. But it is still in the intent and the recipient, as I appreciate that some still won’t like to hear this word. " Isn't slut a woman who is sexually adventurous? not necessarily promiscuous, isn't slag more related to sleeping about?

Bit as with many words, depending on context, it can be used as a derogatory term

"I agree with most of what has been written it's all about context. I've seen a few profiles mainly couples ones, that have said something along the lines of " looking for a slut to come and join me and the wife". That is an immediate turn off for me even if I was really attracted to them and the rest of the profile was perfect. " context is key

A couple on another post asking for advise on their profile used the word. Amongst the profile write up (which was quite long) the only word I saw was slut and it put my back right up. Slut or whore. Hate both those words being used in a profile.

"Context! Messaging me with it or a stranger saying it wouldn’t go down too well. If I let you write it across my arse in lipstick, alls good " Now there's a thought

"Hate whore, sluts and slag and daddies girl! Team that up with Hun and babe and it’s instant delete and block! " Agree, but some women love it. The problem arises when (some) men assume because (some) women embrace the word ALL women are happy with it!
