Bloody love this film!

Only thing is I'm frustrated as I can't sing along with the legend Aretha cos I'm too poorly to wail lol

(I like Nassau's gone funky but that is literally it and I'm rightfully ashamed to admit it)

When I was in America we went to universal studios and I made my nephew watch the blues brothers show (still going strong after over 20 years since my last visit!).

He just looked at me and said 'so we're just going to stand here and watch them sing?'...... Young people today... No class!

Not a great story but musically amazing! Funky Nassau and How Blue Can You Get are amazing.

Hull

When the Blues Brothers film was released, by coincidence, its film company was one of many attending a Film Industry conference at our huge hotel and conference venue in Brighton.

I got to meet some of the stars, though the "brothers" weren't there. Plus, some of the film crews, stunt people and so on. Great memories.

At the time it was the most expensive car chase on film. Cant remember which film broke it but it lasted a long time.

"Think it holds the record for biggest police chase on film."

Yes, plus the most number of vehicles wrecked in ANY film! In the scenes shot under the elevated train tracks, due to some repeated takes, they destroyed over 120 police cars.

According to google it still holds the record at 103 followed by Gone in 60 seconds with 93 but I'm sure i read somewhere that someone had cleared 120
