Do many of you use the function ?

Or just keep chats public ?

Message me if you like to see the PM difference as I guess more personal.

As I see a lot spending time on public forum.

I worded that a bit wrong. It does depend who it is, because I’ve had loads of random folk message me from year old threads I’ve replied too, trying to argue with me. Never regretted saying I may be up for pegging someone one day so much before

If im chatting to friends its always in private..

I never respond to people in private from the forums unless its for FPF..

I think most people know the difference but some like to flirt openly and do a lot of lamppost pissing

Yes I will sometimes reply to a forum post privately if filters allow; if I feel the response needs to be handled sensitively; or if I don’t think it’s appropriate for a public forum & might cause embarrassment.

I'm not stuck up, I chat to people about allsorts of things.

I don't understand the 'forum lurkers don't mail me' attitude. It's a site for meeting people.

Yes I get PM from people about my forum messages but some agree and some don’t.

PM is good though.

I responded to all as curtesy.

I get a few messages that way as well, usually from random people that I would never have interacted with prior to that. I've had some good discussions and met some lovely people with this method, that's why my filters are off

Yeah I’m the same! I honestly usually don’t mind and the majority of the time, my filters are off purely for the forums.

It depends on the topic. If I feel like I want to go a bit off topic or I want to share something a bit more sensitive then I'll PM. I don't mind it if people do the same to me too.

I get a bit annoyed when someone starts a thread then uses it just to PM those who reply.

I always get PM.

I'm seldom on the forums.

When I do come on such as tonight I then spend a good time making my presence known by responding to or creating posts.

Thus many feel the need to PM me complimentary or friendly words.

Never anything negative thankfully.

I enjoy the praise and the attention if it's given I receive lol

I have mailed various people from forums personally purely because I think my response was on a more personal level and should be shared with the op rather than the masses.

I have received mail also from forum posts and will converse if I find it a worthy person or subject matter.

I don't think it's wrong or right. I feel if the situation warrants it.

You can't have a "send to many" bog standard message. It won't work.

Read a profile, write a message tailored specifically to that individual.

No one can help with that.

I know that wouldn’t work I just wanted to get a rough idea on how to word it , lay it out and what info to put into it that’s all just so I had a rough idea how to write a pm when I send one
