Ladies ... Hollywood wax

The Bermuda Triangle in Suffolk

Right so I have booked my first ever H Wax for Monday am sort of looking forward to it but apprehensive too, so if you have any tips or remember your first time please let me know. X

Can't speak from a ladies perspective obviously but was waxed down there a couple of years ago and didn't find it anywhere near as embarrassing or painful as I was expecting - the waxer was completely professional throughout, explained everything clearly and it really was no different from a trip to the barbers really.

In terms of pain it was momentary and no more than a 3 or 4 out of 10.

It's key to ensure you follow the aftercare instructions though for the best effect - depending on the wax used that may differ between salons so ask.

Scarlett has this waxing.

She was very apprehensive the first time but she has no qualms about going and having it done now.

I keep asking her if I can come and watch but to date it has always fallen on deaf ears!

From a woman's perspective - it hurts the first time! It depends obviously on hair type and your pain threshold but it did for me. Pop a couple of ibuprofens about half hour to a hour before hand. They'll ask you to get in a few positions to help - possibly asking you to hold certain areas apart etc. Oh trim but not too much unless they are using Lycon wax.

I can't take Ibuprofen only paracetamol and the salon said they would trim if it was needed but as for type of wax I have no idea. What difference does it make if they use Lycon wax?

I'd say don't get the top of your butt done where it meets your back....you'll forever grow a hairy tail haha. Also wear a skirt as the breeze across your lady garden when you step outside is second to none.

First time was painful, but if you go regularly it gets easier!
