Subject to Legal Action

It does make me giggle, all those profiles that have the sydney bollocks at the bottom, I mean, would you really take legal action if you knew your pics had been used somewhere else?

Personally, I’d be flattered

I wouldn’t be flattered. I’ve had my pics stolen and out in a site where there was a complete profile of me made with about 7 pictures all from past ones I’ve had on here. My username was cheating welsh slut and it was made in 2016. Considering I’ve not had a boyfriend since 2013 and never cheated on him, I don’t understand why I’d be called that.

Extremely risky putting face pictures out there...as for naked below the belt photos...ridiculous.I know what's between the legs,,,what's between your ears?

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

"Plaintiff, one 'Sulaco', of 'Fabswingers, the Internet', hereby files suit against defendant 'funlad4hotties69', of the same locale, alleging copyright infringement in respect of a photo of a man's underwear, uploaded without permission to website 'Grindr'."

Yeh I find it total bollocks too. Never put anything on the internet that you are worried about going public with. Personally I've had my pics copied by saddos with nothing better to do. Says more about them that they pinch mine when there are hotter ladies on here.

I don't understand this notion that it might flattering, it's not flattering in the slightest.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall of the solicitors office as he/she tries not to laugh you out of the room.

Him/her: hello lawyer, Is like to sue this person who stole my cock/vag' photo that I uploaded to the internet. Can you help?

Lawyer: ...

Oops, what I meant to say was, I can't help you,l. Anything you upload to the public domain is pretty much fair game. That'll be £483 please.

Just over a year ago, I did have reason to take a very similar situation to the police for investigation - they did get the photos removed from the website in question so it can happen once the party in question was threatened with police action.

This is why I keep my pictures private. If they aren't out there, then they can't be used

The funniest bit about it is you can't take legal action. You've already put them in the public domain on fabs. Anybody can do pretty much anything they want as long as it isn't for commercial gain or defamation.

Hiding in the shadows

Not recently but I've had profiles set up on dating apps using my pics off other social media.

I eventually figured out who it was.

The legal warnings are useless, not worth wasting the time & energy it took to type them out.

The police will however take action.

Does anyone ever take Acton for false representation for the "VWE" or "well hung" or "thick hard cock" statements?

People can put what they like on their profiles ... within reason

So would you take someone to court for using some of your profile?

It actually costs wasted bandwidth, thats why websites ask you not to put it on your profiles.

With the amount of electricity used to send the sydney message around to everyone, we could power a UK village.

Global warming, every single keystroke costs the planet.

The fabswingers site specifically says NOT to use the ‘warning’. It has no legal basis in England. No one will attempt to sue anyone - you need my name and address for example. Where ya gonna get that from? Admin don’t know it.....so, what do you do?

Answer me that....

Because you asked me if I was planning to use some of your profile. It seemed a reasonable premise for someone who asked that to check first. Besides which, I don’t need to nick anything from anyone. I had enough imagination to cope by myself.

It is funny though. Getting worked up over something petty and trivial. This is getting more comments than my £3 for Sun-Pat peanut butter thread. Now that's an issue that needs addressing!!!

People are found on twitter all the time. All someone needs is someone else to give your name, anyone. Then the police can ask your isp for your ipaddress, and ask fabswingers who will give them your ipaddress, if they match, legal process will start.

Everything you upload to the internet is copyright and can be protected as if it is a 100 million dollar movie. You can sue for damages if you want. The notice that has no legal standing is the sydney university one. A university can break copyright.

That is assuming fabswingers dont take the copyright from you when you have uploaded it like some sites do.

No, but if it makes you feel better, still no. It isn't worth having in any way or form. Just shows people are gullible, especially when they post a Facebook disclaimer mentioning Facebook, then we know they're pretty special.
