Right we love tattoos we’re not heavily tatted out but like them never the less, each one has a meaning to us and a memory attached, so here’s are question..... how many of you have gone to the tattoo parlour looked in there book picked one had it done and now regretted it thank answer on a long tanned leg for us to read later lol

Nope love all of mine. And they all

Mean something to me. I’d never just pick an off the shelf one like tribal or something.

I regretted my first ever one. But that was because I walked into the shop and picked one off the wall.

I had it covered a couple of years later with a design of my own. Never have I picked a design off a wall since.

You are much better off going to a tattoo artist and have them design one that is personal to you rather than choosing one off the wall.

I have one new one planned. It’s taking a bit of designing cause it means quite a lot. My first I love. I see it every morning but it’s not often on show. Scars of art.

My first has more meaning than just the obvious of what it says/is, I'm planning my second one which I'm designing myself it has a link to my first but neither are "off the shelf" and both are ones I've thought about for some time first.

What do you think a tattoo is?

It’s a term I use because it’s a scar i’m glad I have. One I can’t take off but love seeing. One that touches my soul to see. Why I had it.

I hear you. And your right - I don’t class the majority of them as scars. Certainly don’t look upon others’ as that unless I learn different. I love tattoos but as this was about the ones we have with meaning, it’s where I was coming from. Just me.

Picked my first one from a book when I was in my teens.. don't regret it though. Reminds me of a time and place. Have had loads of large custom work since and love them all apart from one that was done badly and will be redone.

No regrets, it's all part of the story.

Hiding in the shadows

I had a couple done in my early 20s I didn't regret them as they were personal, but they didn't look how I'd expected them too.

Young, eager & didn't do enough research into where to go

I've had them covered now, with something I designed, absolutely love & is very very personal, part of my life story.

Not one and will keep it that way, it seems I’m in the minority these days however. Been in the very Macho environment of Building site work, Bikers and the Army but never thought of having one myself.

No issues with them, some are amazing (Girl with the Dragon Tattoo I love) but never fancied getting inked up.

Picking a hello kitty design off a flash card only works if you're a teenage girl....

I (female) have a number of tattoos and I don't regret any, in fact I would happily add to my collection.

I also have 'scars' from stretch marks as a result of my pregnancies but I prefer to call those my "life tattoos". I don't regret those either x

I had a tribal band thing on my arm when I was 19 and d*unk, picked off the wall. Always looked rubbish.

I had it lasered last year and one session done on the cover up, back in tomorrow for my second session. Pics available if people want to to see.

Of the 5 I have, only one came from a sheet at a tattooists, the others I have taken in photo's/pictures of similar to what I want and they've drawn them up under my instruction.

I dont regret a single one though they all have a meaning to me, and paint the picture of why I am who I am in some ways.

Pretty much everyone that sees my tatts thinks they're shit.

I picked them all and don't regret any of them. Even the massive one that no-one has seen.
