Ignorant or just an excuse?

How many times do you read posts where people complain about getting too many messages they can't reply to all? Yes I get that, I understand it.

But ... what if you message someone with advice and you find they've taken you up on the advice about something they've asked for in the forum however they've not even been bothered to reply to your message? Is that the 'too many messages' excuse or just plain ignorant?

A simple thanks would have done.

Potentially, but I recommended a website that is in beta and very few are aware of, so I'd be suprised. ... still a thanks wouldn't have hurt?

I get that mate. But he gave someone advice who'd asked for it. Nice to acknowledge the op took the time to respond

It don't bother me mate. I delete some messages without replying myself. But the op responded to a request for advice, a bit different

I don’t expect thanks for any advice I give.

I also recommend people don’t listen advice on here especially if it comes from me.
