Does anyone stick to the ‘age rule’ ? Whether it’s for dating or just for fucking.

The youngest you can go is someone half your age, plus seven.

I’m speaking to a lovely guy in the vanilla age who sticks to this rule. Wanted to know if it was a common thing

Nope....

But in general I do find I have very little in common with people in theor early 20's but I wouldnt rule someone out before speaking to them

in real world every relationship ive had the guy has been a bit older than me. On fab They have all been younger. The biggest age difference as younger has been about 28 years. However although i have no set rules i really cant imagine dating someone in their 20s. Id have such little in common with them. However i never thought id end up in a relationship someone 22 years older so i do think its best to stay open minded about age.

My OH is 24 years my junior

We have so much in common, yet we are also different enough as to learn from each other, pretty much every day

Finding that 'click' with someone is way more important than finding someone that fits nicely in a box

In a relationship, fine. I was really referring to meets where maturity brings with it an expectation that it will be a little bit more than just a physical romp? Or am I just being old fashioned?

I just didn’t want to spend much time chatting to them as I had nothing in common with them . No common ground . Poles apart on a social level , but the sex was ok .

There’s a rule? Oops!

I did once date an 18 year old when I was 28, so I guess that conforms to the idea of half plus 7. I’m a lot older than 28 now but I’d still do an 18 year old if she was up for it.
