Am I right to say no to....

requests from people to meet who don't state on their profile that they are looking for a TV/TS? I do receive quite a few such offers (I got another this evening which prompted this post) but always reply by saying "thanks, but no thanks" stating my reasons. Am I interpreting people's profiles too literally? Or should those who are looking to meet a TV/TS clearly express this as a profile preference to be considered as a prospective meet?

You're a dirty little secret to them. I think you're right to reject them.

You can say no to whoever you like. In this instance, if I were you, I’d say no as well.

No, I think you're right to do that. In the same way I won't meet a guy messaging me with straight on his profile, if you're bi, then state it. I'm not going to be a dirty secret

I'd agree. If someone is embarrassed to meet me then they're not gonna get to.

Hillside desolate

I think you should give them a chance, after all lots of people have not looking for single men on their profile and a raft of verifications from single men. Maybe they just want to message the individual profiles that interest them. I think you'd be able to gauge in the getting to know them process if they'd consider you a dirty secret or not.

You have every right to say no, but people do experiment and when they originally set up their Profile it may not have interested them, but due to experience or a change of heart they may decide to try something different.

Chat maybe and find out why they’re messaging you first maybe

You can say no to whoever you choose but as others have said, it might not be to keep the you/activity secret. They might be curious, they might be a dick. Never know unless you respond. I'd judge on the message and the profile blurb and pics, not the profile preferences.

Also as others have said, they may prefer to do the searching. Just because it doesn't say they're looking for tv's doesn't mean they're not.

I also get this quite a bit. If I like the look I'll reply. The conversation tends to die though.

But I have met a couple of these guys and had some good times, so I believe they weren't being quite honest.

I wouldnt see what the big deal was. To me its just like someone not having their face on their profile, i dont lose sleep worrying about what they are hiding.

Its worse when they have something like "no married, singles only", and their veris are a bunch of married men etc.
