I think guys aren't generally socialised to think of their whole bodies as potentially sexual or arousing (for better or worse). So it's harder to think of how to sell themselves.

Unless you are a really good looking guy, you spend most of your life feeling pretty invisible to the opposite sex. I'd be offended if a woman sent me a close-up pic of her cleft lip Hitler or her tits with nothing else. It would make me feel like she thinks I'm so shallow and cheap that all I need to see is her meat curtains, or worse, that it's all I deserve to see. I always think it's safer to avoid sending cock pics unless asked, although if a woman has fanny shots on her profile I'd consider it more reasonable to do so. If someone mentions a preference on their profile that makes it easy for those of us that like to read them! Well done on being the first to start a thread in 2019 (there were many in 2018) complaining of the type of messages they receive.

Don't like them op block those genders from messaging and search yourself if you find someone of interest message them with an opening message including the pictures you'd like to send... The site provides the tools it's up to you if you use them. If you choose not to use the tools you'll have to accept you'll receive some mail you'd rather not, same as the junk mail you receive in the real world.
