But more importantly, I want more days than not without pain from my injury, and there's a few more functional things I can't quite do yet.

I need to lose about 4 stone

I'm the biggest I've ever been and I'm not comfortable.

So I'm going to try and be mindful and stop eating so much shit.

Starting with dry January

Boring - but it has to be done!

a bag of walnuts is a good description.

I don't find the look appealing but admire the dedication these people have - even though it's bordering on an eating disorder sometimes!

I have an eating disorder too - I can't stop bloody eating

Try and do two parkruns a month and eventually build up to a comfortable 10k. I'd like to lose weight but not a set amount - more just a general get fitter and healthier thing. And continue with yoga/pilates, if my membership goes to waste I'll be annoyed at myself.

"Is it possible to lose 5 stone in 4 months if you are obese? Healthily."

Could be done but certainly not in a healthy way. The calorie deficit would be huge and you'd likely put most of it back on.

Slow and steady is the best way.

It you have 5 stone to lose then the first stone should come off quite quick. Bare in mind the initial loss will mostly be water and very little fat if your going to drop carbs.

2lb a week is a good maximum to work to after the first 3-4 weeks.

I'd look more at 6-8 months to lose that much and keep it off.

Race against time.

Good luck, I'll cheer you on in Feb x

And I'd definitely be intrested in following your progress...

2018 hadn't been a great year for me physically.

The summer I had a serious allergic reaction which affected my chest and damaged my lungs. I had to stop teaching my Insanity & HIIT classes.

I was put on inhalers & steroids, which caused quite a weight gain - 21lbs.

Just recovering from that, and I had a contact lens related accident which resulted in losing vision in my left eye, and leaving me unable to race & cycle.

The last couple of months I've lost my mojo, my ooomph isn't there, and I became quite lax with my own training.

I had no goals, nothing to aim for.

So... I've been set one. Cheers Monkey

Get my arse back into powerlifting.

Something I've not done since my spinal surgery just over 2yrs ago.

I have no idea how it will go, what I'm capable of, or if my back will allow me to hit the weights I used to.

But I'm going to give it my best shot.

"What does that meanTo get the competetion abs look.

What look like a bag of walnuts ?

a bag of walnuts is a good description.

I don't find the look appealing but admire the dedication these people have - even though it's bordering on an eating disorder sometimes!

I have an eating disorder too - I can't stop bloody eating "

It wont be so hard, cos I am a flexible dieter and I am starting out with high calories at 3000. I am starting tommorow where I will cut it with 500, so I will be in a deficit straight away then each month I will evaluate of how much I need to drop, the idea behind the diet is, does it fit in your macros? Sure you can eat it

I for one would like to follow your journey. Especially if there were pics. I am a visual type of person.

For some unknown and ridiculous reason (involving wine!) we have agreed to do a 10k Mud Race with another Fab couple in June.

I am not a runner by any stretch of the imagination so will involve a lot of training for me (not so much for everyone else!).

Slight sweetener is we can all be muddy and sweaty then get all clean and sparkly together

I want to loose 3/4 stone this year. I lost 3st last year and this is just carrying on with that journey. I'd like to be able to do a full push up and a pull up.

Whilst doing this I am doing weight training so I should naturally time up along the way.

I'd like to put on s sexy short dress and not feel the need to wear tights to out everything in the right place.

I want to build my stamina up to last longer than a couple of minutes horizontal jogging. Until then I’ll rely on help from my friends here with the Mrs.

Baby steps and learn to understand you

Learn to enjoy cooking that will be your bestist friend ever

Beyond that include a daily walk

Beyond that dip your toe gently into any activity that captivates you, note , the more you specialise the more your body will specialise, cross training ie a number of differing activities will give your musculature a better balance x

I lost 25kg. 20kg in the last quarter of 2018.

My fitness goal is to get to 12% body fat and maintain it. I was 16% over Christmas

Not wishing to be too sceptical

To lose 44 lbs in 90 days would mean a daily deficit of near enough 2000 cals

That's fucking hard !

It can be done when you cut the carbs out.

I am aware of the methods why and how they work

I'm also fully aware that a deficit is also required and the toll that plays on the body

To achieve a daily deficit of 2000 cals carbs or no carbs is very difficult x

Was that directed at me? If so yep, well actually 12km I think it is but close enough, still a good 9km more than I’ve done for a number of years!

I'm going to reach my target weight this year having done the bulk of the hard work last year. Only 1.5 stone to go. I'm also going to complete the couch to 5k having stopped last year due to a hip injury. I'm back on it and motivated to succeed.

It was 4 months total. I started in September. I dropped from 27% body fat to 16. I ate clean everyday. 2000 calories, high protein and low carbs. Exercise everyday. Gym twice but bouldering 4 times and a run once.

I managed to sustain it now. Adding cheat days since it's now even tougher and not about weight loss but muscle gain and ridding the fat around the waist.

The personal trainer I had were amazing.

Want to lose the lard so I'll be able to handle festivals better. Getting harder to keep up with the younger people in our group.

Also so I'll feel happier and more confident when approaching other people on Fabs with regards to meets.

"I need to lose about 4 stone

I'm the biggest I've ever been and I'm not comfortable.

So I'm going to try and be mindful and stop eating so much shit.

Starting with dry January

Boring - but it has to be done!"

Same goal, same plan, so far so good
