You’re joking right?

Boxing Day is the best part. Sport all day, cold meats and pickles and cheese and crackers

Nope I'm not joking

A day off is more than enough for a "religious" what shall I call it? Acknowledgement

All done now - life continues as it did yesterday and will tomorrow

Well, if you say so...

Mind if the rest of us all carry on as we were or do we need to pack up now?

Three weeks of hype? Not for those of us who work in retail. Christmas for us started in August!

I work on the clothing section in a supermarket and we had summer dresses , swimsuits and sandals delivered a week or two ago. Valentines stuff came into store in November!

Easily the most important part of any Christmas Holliday

Chicken, man or beef?"

Depends what you’d prefer...

My beef does always come with gravy, but I warn you, it’s very filling.

For me, boxing day and the day after it which has no name, are far superior to Christmas day,

In a rich society where good food is a regular occasion and electricity and heating minimises the impact of short cold days, it can be hard to remember the reason for a mid winter feast, but even now without Christmas it would be a long time between October and March.

Enjoy yourself however you wish OP, but weather Christmas marks the apex of winter, or the birth of a non retribution based God figure, or just a bad day when people are not there to serve you in shops, we do need it still.

I'm working today

I wish I hadn't agreed to it I'd much rather be at home eating leftovers and cheese

No sports though

I'm back to normal already - Christmas means little to me.

It was lovely spending time with family though

Manchester (he/him)

To me boxing day and the days of Christmas week are what I enjoy, the kids playing with their new stuff, no stressing over Christmas any more, people are more relaxed and content.

This is when I enjoy myself, I'm not rushing to get through this now.
