With one or other family members visiting A&E or outpatients on the past few Christmas or Boxing Days - a heartfelt thank you! The same goes for the rest of the year, too xx

Yes, well done to them, but this thread is for those working in the emergency services so let's not detract.

Thank you

Thanks guys! I just got off shift and now I can resume mmthe rest of my xmas. Or what's left of it.

Practically every house I was called out to I got some scraps of food. And a cheeky short of whiskey.

But please remembers guys if you've had a cough or a cold for 2 weeks. Please don't call and ambulance out because the GP is closed or you carnt get an appointment.

Lost an hour at someone's house convincing them they don't need to go hospital with a cough. When a little old lady was still laying on the bathroom floor from the early hours. They obvious knee how to get an ambulance out to them first by claiming they had 'chest pains' yeah, that's what a cough can do! But it's not a heart attack.

Anyhoo, a couple of people today should get to spend another Xmas with thier families next year from my help today. That's all the Xmas prezzies I need.

Stay safe guys! Remember don't drink and drive and don't take sweets from strangers.

Happy xmas.

Two members of our family are working night shifts over Christmas. I suspect much of their time will be taken up with alcohol related stuff.
