Random question, but if you regularly go to the gym - what programme do you follow?

I'm powerlifting so mines pretty regimented in terms of weights, reps, sets etc.

One day each for squat, bench and deadlift.

If your wanting aesthetics/size then I'd go push/pull/legs.

No need for a bro split with dedicated days to arms etc.

I tend to work out 5 days a week. I mix it up with classes, boot camps and boxing.

On average I will give for about 2.5 hours a night!

Typically Monday is class and then cardio

Tuesday is boxing

Wednesday is a class and then weights

Thursday is boxing and body weight exercises

Friday is class and weights.

If you're not alone on Christmas or cooking your dinner it's a bit sparse isn't it!

No gym. Just a wander through the fields with my dogs...

They seem to keep fit enough without all those gym machines....

I used to PT, but my own training has no goals I just enjoy it. I stopped going to the boxing and I’ve done zero cardio since

M - chest

T - back

W - shoulders

T - legs

F - chest again

Neither do I, coherence is obviously not the OP's strong point

It's been interesting watching the regulars in the weights room and their reaction to me over time, that's for sure.

Yeah, a lot won't like it if your stronger than them

I train with some stupid strong women from time to time.

One lady I've been helping with training, only 70kg bodyweight, got a 210kg deadlift, 160kg squat and 117.5kg bench.

More than a lot of guys, it's highly amusing to see their faces

At the moment I don't lift like the serious ones, but I do lift more than the ones who beat their chests and make a lot of noise about nothing. It's kind of morphed from "huh what are you doing here?" to respect. Grudging in the case of the ones beating their chests.

This simply isn't true. Not a magic pill, still requires as much effort and discipline to get good results.

Amount of people who use them and make no progrees because they are clueless is unreal.

I’ve been using this one for a while

https://www.muscleandstrength.com/workouts/12-week-fat-destroyer

Can’t be arsed with the diet side but it’s a solid workout that tones and builds a bit of strength but doesn’t mean your in the gym for hours every day

Brighton - even Hove!

I’ve updated my status to start going to the gym again. I’m thinking mainly trying all the machines out in turn till I find an easy one. Cardio type stuff I guess.
