It is not about big celebrations with presents and lots of decorations, that is all commercialised to make profit, the real meaning is to be together and think of jesus, whats your view?

The Christian Christmas is the biggest act of cultural appropriation ever.

I for one, am cheered by its ever more secular nature. Be together, show your love for one another, that's all that's needed.

But large amounts of food and booze are also good

Christmas is showing how humans still have imaginary friends, or how one religion hijacks others’ important days.

Hopefully one day when we’ve grown up and left religion in history we can have STEM day where we look forward at what Humans can do and celebrate the moon landings etc

Sigh but it’s such a long way off

The true meaning of Christmas to celebrate the birth of christ, you're right Shag. Lots of people still do acknowledge that and practice Christianity. I know a lot of people don't even connect Christmas and Christianity any more.

I'm not a Christian neither is Mr N so we celebrate in our own way but just as I wish Muslim friends Eid Mubarak I'm happy to wish Christian friends merry Christmas and acknowledge their faith without trying to disprove it on one of the holiest days of their year.

I agree - the meaning of Christmas has been decimated by commercialism

I loathe Christmas because every year it starts earlier, lasts longer and is lost by the time it gets here

It certainly is, i only buy presents for Nephew and Neice.

Five finger death punch on loud and get a run in this morning then a brief visit to family.

No religion involved
