What motivates you to start a thread? Boredom? A burning question that you desperately want answered? To get some attention?

Or is something a bit more etherial...

i start threads that i hope will spark a debate or a bit of banter, and to make a change from the usual daily drivel that gets posted.

I'm a bit like that, not for the banter (I hate that word) but often because I like seeing people's opinions

banter was probably the wrong word, it’s borderline bullying.

Some of the threads and debates on here are really good. Not at all what you’d expect from what could probably best be described as a sex site, but there’s some really interesting topics and insights that pop up now and again.

And then there’s the “does my cock look big in this” posts.

I start them to find something out. Only the other day I made a vital forum contribution by asking if it was too soon to open the Christmas biscuits. The real sting in the tail was that I was already tucking in to them when I started it .

I live life on the edge.

I start some threads to shamelessly perve and flirt. Sometimes to have fun and sometimes to chat shit x

That's very true, I've learnt quite a bit from the forums, quite a lot of that I wish I hadn't learnt mind you... Ignorance is bliss and doesn't require eye bleach

from the womb and tryout to get back

I usually start a thread for a laugh as you get some funny responses and if I want others opinions on something i never start a thread to attract attention

Usually from something I read on another thread that I'm interested in finding out other opinions about. I like discussion.

That's often where my ideas come from, or conversations I'm having with friends.

When I'm bored and have run out of other ones to comment on. I don't do it much though as I have a bad habit of starting it then forgetting to follow it!

Yes from friends too, or often something I read online.

I like that people have such varied opinions.

You need to thank MrsTrellis - she's the one who started the club!
