It's brill, not been for a few years now. The caves are well worth a look. When I went they'd not mapped them all out, so they told everyone not to wander too far

Enjoy

It used to be one of my locals. Just be careful - sometimes bits of the ceiling drop on your head or even worse, in your beer!

I like the sound of that place

Have something to eat a few drinks and then wander off into unmapped caves

I know they add gypsum to the water to Burtonise it before brewing, but thistle in it after brewing...

If Jay likes unusual pubs, take him to The Crooked House in Lower Gornal, Himley, between Dudley and Wolves.

I used to love dirty dicks in the east end, supposedly back in the 70's it had never been cleaned, smelt terrible, but health and safety eventually moved in and it's all fake now

Am enjoying this thread very much: I used to frequent the Fighting Cocks as a young man, visited the Old Trip several times when a mate was at Uni in Nottingham, and then lived in the West Mids and did plenty of pub crawls that included the Crooked House.

Come to think of it, it's a wonder I didn't turn out some kind of alcoholic - thank god I discovered swinging

If anyone visits Chams and stays over, just check out The Crooked House. It's only about 40mins away. You'll be well pleased you did. It's an experience you wont forget

Does anyone remember 'Tommy Ducks' in Manchester. Was near to where the Bridgewater Hall now is.

The ceiling used to be decoreated with ladies panties

Have you been to the Victoria Pub in Beeston?

Excellent food and a huge range of real ale, guest beers and wines.
