As you have spelt whiskey with an e ,scotch isn't an option.

May I suggest black bush, distilled in Bushmills Co.Antrim.

There's a difference- Whisky is Scottish whilst Whiskey generally relates to Irish or USA brands.

A good seller where I work is Balvenie. Also consider Dalwhinnie, and Speyside distillery based brands

ok ....

Glen Garioch 12 yr

Glen Scotia double cask

Longrow peated

Spey Tenne

Aberlour 12 yr

Port Askaig 100% proof (this kicks arse)

Tomintoul Tlath

Tamdhu 10 yr

Clynelish 14 yr

Ben Riach 10 yr

all of these should be inside your budget and are very good whisky

The Land of Kink!

"What’s a good Whiskey to get my boss ?"

Tamnavoulin, currently 18 quid on amazon deal of the day and my favourite scotch single malt whisky...

"Nose

Amber gold in colour with rich, warm aromas of apple, toffee and honey with sweet marzipan and subtle tangy marmalade notes on the nose.

Palate

The palate is fresh and mellow with pear, peach and pineapple flavours with a hint of Demerara sugar."

Thank me later!

Let me know what you all think!

It's such a personal thing taste wise, have you thought of mini taster kits where you get a selection of different mini bottles he can enjoy comparing ?
