I've watched work mates and family members become shadows of their former selves..
Too see a man in his prime and then see him at his weaker old age.. scares the shit outta me, to think I'll be there one day.

A new job for example, I could do with a new job with better pay and more sociable hours. If I got a new job and failed, I'd feel like I'd let myself down, not to mention the implications it would have on keeping a roof over my head. I was afraid of failing my son, of doing a bad mum job. He's fucking awesome though and already a mini legend so that's done and dusted. I'm afraid of not giving my best, and letting myself and others down. This can sometimes go too far, to the point I'll sacrifice myself for others, and I'll be left fighting emotionally or financially just to make it easier for other people P | |||
