I like my rice egg fried, but only if there's spring onions in, if not I'd rather have plain boiled.

I live on uncles Ben's spicy Mexican rice.

From the Chinese I'd go for chicken friend rice though.

P.O. Box DE1 0NQ

In a blue tin with the word Ambrosia written on the label

Seriously though, I always boil too much rice when I do it to go with one of ma homemade curries (basmati)/chillies (long grain, then the next day I like to stick it in the frying pan with a knob of butter, along with any unsuspecting leftovers in ma fridge maybe chuck an egg or two in, along with some frozen peas and copious amounts of random spices, and the job's a good 'un

west here ford shire

I was given a tip on how to cook basmati rice, it does work most of the time.

Take 1 measure of rice

Take same measure two lots of water, pinch of salt..

Bring to boil,

Take off heat, allow to cool slightly

The dimmer for 10 mins, take off the heat, cover pan with a clean tea towel

Put lid on

Then allow to stand 5 mins

Then serve

Please try it
